This program focuses on strengthening examiners’ understanding of subclass carryover, pattern interpretation, and the critical distinctions necessary for accurate forensic conclusions. About Massachusetts State Police

The Massachusetts State Police is the statewide law enforcement agency for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It provides police services across the state, especially in areas without local police departments, and supports municipal, state, and federal agencies.

The Massachusetts State Police traces its roots to 1865, making it one of the oldest state police agencies in the U.S. It was officially formed in its modern structure in 1992 after merging several state law enforcement agencies.
